- Unrest in the CAR is escalating, but all the Covenant missionaries are safely out of the country. Here is where they are:

- PRAY for peace to return to the CAR
CONGO COVENANT CHURCH
- Peace and stability are returning to Northwest Congo where the Congo Covenant Church is located. Recent reports of violence have taken place in East Congo, which is 600+ miles from the Congo Covenant Church area.
- The Congo Covenant Church ministries continue to move forward.
- Covenant World Relief gave $25,000 for the purchase of emergency medicines for Congo on January 24. Emergency medicines were purchased and transported into Congo January 31. This purchase was necessary due to the crisis in the CAR, where the regular shipment of medicines was blocked leaving the Congo medical services out of many medicines.
- All three of the Congo Church hospitals and 70 rural health centers are functioning.
- 100 pastors were trained at portable Bible Schools during 2002.
- Four new churches were recently planted in a new area.
- Mission outreach to the forest Pygmies continues. Thirty-five Pygmy believers were baptized during 2002.
- Contact has been made with the Zande, another unreached people in the CAR.
